Players in the Cypress, Tomball, and Hockley areas — along with Soccer Mavericks players — now have the opportunity to be part of the Yellow Submarine Academy, bringing the professional development philosophy of Villarreal CF directly to our community.

Villarreal CF, known worldwide as “The Yellow Submarine,” is a Spanish La Liga professional club recognized for its elite youth development system, technical style of play, and history of developing players who compete at the highest levels of the game.

Through this partnership, players will train using the Villarreal methodology, focused on technical excellence, intelligent decision-making, and modern positional play.

Beginning Fall 2026, our competitive pathway will include opportunities for:

16U Boys (Born August 2010 – July 2011)

15U Boys (Born August 2011 – July 2012)

14U Boys (Born August 2012 – July 2013)

Selected players will compete as part of the Villarreal Houston Academy, participating in both local and international tournaments, providing a clear and structured pathway for players who aspire to compete at higher levels.

Placement on competitive teams will be determined through official tryouts (beginning May 2026), and players must participate in the evaluation process to be considered for roster selection.
